We currently have Swallowbelly breeding stock to which we are adding both Reds and Blonde Mangalitzas imported from Eastern Europe. Our aim is to expand the numbers of these delightful animals which are currently endangered and exist in only a few locations. Mangalitzas are very hardy and make excellent pets and exceptional eating.
Our breeding programme will initially allow us to market Mangalitzas both male and female with the males castrated so that breeding can be controlled without interbreeding here in France. We shall be looking towards third generation pigs before commencing releasing/introducing active males into the market place.

We will maintain a data base/ register accessable to all owners to monitor the location of all of our sales and encourage owners to actively advise on numbers of offspring, location of offspring if sold on and pigs purchased from us that are sold onto third parties.
Although we are a commercial entity we feel that we not only have a responsibility to both the longevity of the breed but also to our clientelle/owners.
